Many Americans are looking for a kidney transplant donor.

People with kidney disease require a transplant to alleviate the need for dialysis. According to the National Kidney Foundation, 20,000,000 Americans have chronic kidney disease, with 200,000 requiring dialysis to stay alive.

90,000 Americans die each year waiting for a transplant. This problem would be greatly aleviated if we could find more kidney transplant donors.

People on dialysis need to go to the dialysis unit at least four times a week, having large needles inserted into their arms. The blood is taken from their body, cleaned through a filter called a "dialyzer", then funelled back into their body. this is a time consuming and drainig process, leaving the person with kidney disease often unable to undertake meaningful employment.

In all cases, the only way for a person to stop dialysis, is to receive a kidney transplant.
